Today is all about using your voice to connect wit Today is all about using your voice to connect with others and show kindness.

If you’re out and about look for opportunities to compliment people. It could be anyone you encounter - strangers and friends/family. Really take a moment to find something very specific to compliment them on. Genuine praise registers in the body.

If you’ll be at home today there are plenty of ways you can also do this. You can call somebody, leave a voicemail, dictate a voice memo, if you’re on the platform Clubhouse find a way to compliment somebody on there.

And, of course, there is just finding a way to compliment somebody in your home (at work) in person. Make it something you wouldn’t normally say. Try to surprise them with the content of your praise 💜

To the deaf community - Your voice is equally important and just as powerful. Find a way to infuse your texts, sign language and other forms of communication with an extra dose of kindness today! 💜
It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week!! 💜 For to It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week!! 💜

For today, see how many places you can find to leave notes. It can be anonymous or right in front of someone.

Get creative! Desks, car windshields, store windows, bathroom mirrors, pillow, toothbrushes. . .

Think of the kindest message that someone would like to receive, and write it down 💜.

If you live alone or are quarantining: first write yourself one then find another way to extend written kindness. It could be a text, an email, a social media post or even a message in your window or on your front door where others can see.

Thank you Amanda for your beautiful and thought pr Thank you Amanda for your beautiful and thought provoking words. They were inspiring.

As a community of kindness let’s strive to both see and be the light.

It isn’t always easy but we’re in this together. And as our new President said “to heal we must remember.” We’ll remember.

We’ll remember where the darkness seeped in and tried to spread and divide us. We’ll remember when we didn’t live up to our best - whether through silence or tacit approval.

We’ll remember, slowly heal and then be brave enough to both see and be the light. 💜
To promote kindness and connection is the core of To promote kindness and connection is the core of our mission at Kindagious.

That’s not to say that we don’t understand that intolerance, bigotry, systemic racism and prejudice are enormous barriers to both expressing and receiving kindness.

To “be kind” is both painfully complex and exquisitely simple.

There are no easy answers and black lives matter every day and not just today or at times when our attention is grabbed by the latest injustice that is publicly displayed.

We are continuing to learn how kindness can be used as a tool for equity, justice, anti racism and connection.

We hope you’ll join us 💜 Every day.

What are you doing for others? (We’d love to hear in the comments)
Congressman Andy Kim from New Jersey got down on h Congressman Andy Kim from New Jersey got down on his hands and knees to help clean up the garbage and destruction in the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

In the midst of great chaos, uncertainty, anger and shock he quietly engaged in a very powerful act of kindness.

He is a poignant example of one person’s ability to start a chain of kindness without knowing (or worrying about) what ripples this one act would send out into the world.

Thank you Rep. Kim for your example and kindness on an otherwise overwhelming day that did not highlight the best of humanity. Your humility and dedication are inspiring 💜
As part of our “Best of 2020” posts this senti As part of our “Best of 2020” posts this sentiment feels especially appropriate.

During these difficult and uncertain times it is important to remember to be kind - most especially to ourselves.

Take care of you and your feelings as they come up.

Check on others you care about, see if they need to talk or any kind of support.

Remember to breathe deeply, take breaks as you need them and stay connected to some (ANY!) positive people, places or things that give you peace and a sense of groundedness 💜
